  • 2 1/2 - 3 lb. apples (Jonathans are good) peeled, cored and sliced into eighths
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1 cup wheat flour

InstructionsInstructions  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Arrange fruit evenly in a 9" x 13" baking dish. Sprinkle with raisins if desired. Prepare topping by mixing all remaining ingredients. Evenly and firmly press the topping over the fruit. Bake for 50 minutes until topping is browned and apples are tender.
